Every woman loves to receive flowers. How special to be able to wear one round one’s neck, to enjoy the wonderful fragrance of an orchid or a gardenia in a thing of beauty. Elsa Peretti has created such a fusion of nature and jewellry, creating her pendant bottles for Tiffany.
Inspired by her travels through Portofino, Italy, in the 1960s, where she saw beautiful women carrying gardenias in hand, the celebrated designer’s distinctive Bottle pendants grew out of her desire to keep the flowers alive. The early design now ranks among her most recognized creations for Tiffany & Co. and has since been handcrafted in new shapes from precious metals and gemstones.
